  Paul Reddick, Harmonica/Vocal

For the past ten years this unique group has been forging a brand of hard and steady blues that truly advances the art form. They have toured with the likes of Buddy Guy and Colin James as well as opened for B.B.King, James Cotton, John Mayall and Koko Taylor. In 1994 they won the Jazz Report Blues Group of the Year Award. 1995 saw their second album
‘When the Sun Goes Down’ nominated for the Juno Best Blue/Gospel recording. By no means blues purists, the band has managed to blend their many musical influences into a groove-driven style that can really rock the house. The Sidemen are also well known for their acoustic performance which feature “unplugged versions” of their original material among an astute selection of pre–war country blues masterpieces including Sleepy John Estes, King Solomon Hill, and the Mississippi Sheiks. In June 2001 the band released their fourth album ‘Rattlebag’ with acclaimed producer/musician Colin Linden. The Sidemen – a truly unique voice in contemporary blues. Be sure not to miss this impressive group.
